Avre Bendi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is a deliciously spicy Konkani recipe. The main recipe is of the gravy base to which one can add any type of pulses. The main ingredients are coconut, dried red chillies and tamarind. There is a balance of tamarind and red chillies as tamarind helps to assuage the spicyness of the chillies. It is typically served with plain steamed rice and is a main dish in any Konkani weddings.
