Avlonari (Greek, Modern: Αυλωνάρι, Katharevoussa: -ον -on), older forms: -o and -on, also with the first second a accented is a town in the eastern part of the island of Euboea and is the seat of the municipality of Avlona. Its 2001 population was 761 for the village and 1,539 for the municipal district.

Avlonari is located 60 km from Eretria, about 90 to 100 km from Chalkida, about abput 190 to 200 km north-northeast of the capital city of Athens (not counting the Oropos - Nea Psara and 70 to 80 km direct), about 20 km north of Aliveri and 20 km south of Kymi.

Avlonari is built on a hilly setting, farmlands dominate the eastern portion and are made up of cattle, corn, fruits, vegetables, olive groves and other crops, a small plain is east of Avlonari, Its houses can be seen from the hilltop. The forests dominates the remainder of the area and are made up of pine and spruce trees and willow trees by the village. , the mountain range surround the area. The area around Seta are made up of forests and includes pines and spruce trees. Farmlands are in the lower areas. Inside the villages features great architecture in several houses, it has narrow and a few cobblestone streets. It is connected with a road connecting the GR-44 (Thiva - Chalkida - Eretria - Karystos) and Kymi.

During the Venetian rule of Euboea and southern and central Greece, twelve towers northeast and north of the village were built to protect the village from invaders, the towers are 50 m tall. Decades later, the Ottoman Turks invaded the area with some interruption until the Greek War of Independence of 1821. Avlonari joined the country of Greece after the Ottoman rule which dominated the country as well as the village as well as the Greek War of Independence. After World War II and the Greek Civil War, its buildings were rebuilt. Its inhabitants left for larger towns and cities in Greece and around the world and the population lost by half between 1991 and 2001 and its youth population lost as well. Pavement was added in the mid to late 20th century.
Avlonari was connected to the media, almost no films or television shows were filmed in Avlonari except for its documentaries. A traveling program Travelling in Greece (Menoume Ellada) in late-2006.

Avlonari has a school, a gymnasium (middle school), a lyceum (secondary school), churches, a post office, a few restaurants, a tavern, a nearby gas station and a square (plateia).
