Actual aircraft systems and test equipment is also to be found allowing simulated diagnostic tests and maintenance procedures to be performed by students.
The classrooms are fitted with data projectors, laptop docking stations for the instructors, and are air conditioned to provide an optimal environment to learn the theory modules presented. Aviation Australia has recently been CASA approved as a training organisation. This brings in the new era of accreditation meaning that having completed the course, there is no longer a requirement to sit basic exams in order to become licensed.
The facilities are often used by Qantas, Virgin Blue, and Jetstar for training and re-certifying crew in emergency procedures. Additionally, Tiger airways is using Aviation Australia staff and facilities to train their cabin crew, many of whom are to be taken from the graduating or previously graduated cabin crew classes.
