According to the tabasco sauce article ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabasco_sauce ), the local salt is not used to make the tabasco sauce, yet according to this article , it is.

Avery Island salt is indeed used in Tabasco production, and is now sold over-the-counter to consumers for ordinary kitchen use under the brand name Avery Island Kosher Salt. I will add this information on the Tabasco sauce page in Wikipedia. Thanks, --Skb8721 (talk) 21:21, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
