Avery Saltzman

Avery Saltzman is a Canadian actor and theater director. He is Artistic Director of the Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Saltzman was born and reared in Toronto. [1]

Saltzman is considered to be one of Canada’s leading character actors. [2] [3] Ted Pappas, artistic Directof of the Pittsburgh Public Theater has called Saltzman a theatrical Swiss Army knife, capable of whipping out whatever tool is necessary to communicate the nuance in any role. [4] The Pittsburgh Post Gazette calls Saltzman “an artist capable of understanding and communicating the humanity in the most inhumane of conditions.” [5]
