[edit] Photographs

For this article, I think it would be better to upload one or two notable photographs of the park as opposed to linking to a list of images on a personal web site. See WP:EL for the guide to external links. Links to personal web sites aren't generally included, unless they're notable for a specific reason. I've added a note to this effect on the users talk page MartinRe 14:13, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Oops, that was me. 2 things: I didn't realize I wasn't logged in (hence the IP), and I hadn't read the WP:EL guidelines, specifically those stating that people shouldn't link to sites they own (I'm new here). When I have a moment (early February 2006 -- very busy these days) I'll pick one or two images form the Flickr page and add them to the article. I'm tempted to leave the link there for the time being though -- there's loads of useful information for anyone interested in hiking in the park -- info I wish I had before going there myself. Again, when I have a bit more time, I can move the details to the actual Auyuittuq article (or to one specifically for Akshayuk Pass). Dave Laird 14:57, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
Sounds good to me (I'm new here too) I didn't want to remove the link as some of the photos are nice. It would be nice to have the information and photos here as it allows other people to add and improve on it. But I know all about lack of time (don't we all :) so I have no objection to the link staying for the moment. Cheers, MartinRe 15:30, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
