[edit] Some bold admiration:

AA, Just wanted to stop by and say that I admire your commitment and calm demeanor when dealing with the miniature/picture placing of the Prophet PBUH. At the risk of sounding like an elementary school teacher--Keep up the good work! Stoa 20:29, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. I try to follow the rule of law the best I can in a way I hope will please Allah. - Autoshade 20:33, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] EC pix

Hey! Welcome to WP! Got any more pix for the EC article? I took some one cloudy day and put some in various articles, and dumped a few more on Talk:Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Your pix look nicer than mine. Anyhoo the UWEC article could use some work in the pictures area as well. Also, if you know whether the mosque in Altoona has a website, I'd like to know...I haven't been able to find it online, except in lists of churches. Also, I don't know whether or not you've checked it out yet, but the CF article has, as its only pic, a farm. :-p The pic on the CF article should prolly be moved to Chippewa County, Wisconsin instead. While you're randomly cruising around WP, if you get a chance, you may be interested in checking out WP:WPWI if you haven't found it already, and possibly even joining up. Enjoy! Hello, and may you have a good new week. I'm not much for image processing. The lens on the camera is unadjustable AFAIK, so hopefully it was just a really crappy day (it was particularly gloomy) rather than a physical, hardware or software problem with the digicam itself. All of that notwithstanding, you did a good job touching up the picture of the synagogue. If you look at the other pix I took that day, you can see just how gloomy it was. On Talk:Eau Claire, Wisconsin, some of the images I put into other articles that day, as mentioned in the preamble to the gallery there, could use some cleanup as well, if you feel up to it. The Chippewa Valley has a lot of cool, if not particularly glamorous, stuff that needs pictures and articles written yet...so it's good to meet another wikipedian from the area. :-)
As far as a website for the mosque goes, let me know if you want any help putting it together. The synagogue's website is hosted by the United Synagogue, so I don't know what to do about hosting, but we can probably find a provider out there somewhere for that. With respect to picture-taking, the green vs. winter thing is so true... you don't notice how drab and lifeless things seem in winter until you actually stop and take a minute to look around you. Taking a picture, freezing a moment in time, and looking at it makes it painfully clear.
Regarding the where it's appropriate to respond to usertalk messages, that's a matter of personal choice. I prefer to leave people messages on their pages, and to have them respond on mine...or if they choose to respond on theirs, to at least leave me a note on my talk page, indicating that they've done so. When people drop notes on my talk page, I always respond on theirs; I consider it a courtesy, specifically because the default usersetup is to receive a notification whenever someone edits your talk page. Alrighty then! I think that about covers it for now... I look forward to hearing from you soon. :-) Tomertalk 02:04, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Looking good.  :-) As for your edit summary about 3RR (here), I'm not sure what you were referring to there... the relevant policy is WP:3RR and deals with edit warring, not with actual constructive edits... Hope that clears up any confusion on the matter... Cheers, Tomertalk 08:05, 13 March 2006 (UTC)

So hey...I looked at what you did to the pic of Temple Sholom again, and got to thinking about it...if you look at the synagogue website, you can see that the signs and the power cables are missing. If you dig around in the image, you can see I did a bit more modifying than you did... :-) So anyways, I've got some more EC images for you to play with when you're ready, just lemme know. Tomertalk 20:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw the Autoshade article earlier today. Good work.  :-) I added the mosque pic into Altoona, Wisconsin...mayhap the article needs a few more pics...pretty pic season is coming up, so get your camera ready :-D Tomertalk 04:40, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Muhammad

May I ask why you reverted my edit? - Eagletalk 14:19, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

If you remove the image on the Muhammad page again, you will be blocked from editing. User:Zoe|(talk) 04:10, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Autoshade,

Please cease your image vandalism. And please stop using anonymous IP sock puppets to do so. You've no right to remove other Muslims' artwork. Wikipedia is not a forum for sectarian disputes.

[edit] Wikipedia:Wikiethics

Hi,

We started a proposal Wikipedia:Wikiethics to state the existing policies coherently and make suggestions on improving the editorial standards in Wiki. I thought you might be interested in contributing to that proposal.

Unfortunately, a pro-porn and pro-offense lobby is trying to make this proposal a failure. They unilaterally started an approval poll although almost no one including me believe that it is time for a vote, simply because the policy is not ready. It is not even written completely.

Editors who thinks that it needs to be improved rather than killed by an unfair poll at the beginning of the proposal, started another poll ('Do we really need a poll at this stage?') at the same time. The poll is vandalized for a while but it is stable now. A NO vote on this ('Do we really need a poll now?') poll will strengthen the position of the editors who are willing to improve the policy further.

If you have concerns about the ethics and editorial standards in Wiki, please visit the page Wikipedia:Wikiethics with your suggestions on the policy. We have two subpages: Arguments and Sections. You might want to consider reviewing these pages as well...

Thanks in advance. Resid Gulerdem 19:40, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SHALOM!!!

Hahahahahaha! Yeah, that was me and my posse! Bleh. I blame Shmuley Boteach and his new show Shalom in the Home. Thanks for thinking of me tho, when you saw it...I got a good hearty bellylaugh out of it. :-p In other news, what's going on w/ developing a website for the mosque? BTW...I dunno if you noticed lately w/ how busy you are, but it's the season of green...time for picture taking of our beautiful city!  :-) Take pictures of everything so we can trick people into thinking winter is less than 50 weeks long here! ;-) OK, that's about all for now. ttyl :-) Tomertalk 04:28, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chippawa Falls

I realize it's no longer your home town, but do you know if any of the former Cray buildings are "still there". It would add tremendously to the Cray and CDC articles if pictures of the labs, and Cray's house, were available. Maury 15:40, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Not only are the original Cray buildings "still there", but they're still referred to as Cray buildings regardless of what the various signs out front say to the contrary... :-p Tomertalk 09:40, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Islamic Barnstar Award

Please offer your opinion, vote, or whatever about your choice for the image to be used with the Islamic Barnstar Award at the Barnstar proposals page. Although there is consensus for the concept of an Islamic Barnstar Award, some editors would like to change the image for the award. I was just thinking you should be aware of this discussion because you have contributed to Islamic-related articles, received the Islamic Barnstar Award, or have contributed to the Islam-related Wikiprojects, etc.--JuanMuslim 1m 16:20, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
