Not sure how this works, but figured out the problem. I have a version of anonomyzer software on this computer which thousands of people use. It was probably displaying another ip address.
I have disabled this software from running, so it should be showing the correct ip, and not a "shared" ip.
How can we unblock this so we can make edits from our account, or do we have to create a new account?
- Once you disclose what anonymising software you are using, I will unblock the account. You'll have to edit without using the anonymiser, though, as Wikipedia prohibits open proxies. --Yamla 21:29, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Yamla, The software is from www.anonomyzer.com. I have disabled it on this computer. My correct ip is 76.0.213.242. I'm not a "techie" and didn't realize this would create a problem with wikipedia. I will be sure to not have that software on when using my account with wikipedia. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused. Looking forward to becoming an active "wikipedian".
- Thank you. You have been unblocked with my apologies. Please note that you did nothing wrong. The IP address was blocked because anonymizers tend to be used by abusive vandals. In this case, a particularly nasty banned vandal known as Verdict (talk ยท contribs). Welcome to Wikipedia, I hope this doesn't negatively colour your experiences. --Yamla 21:37, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Don't mind being knocked around a bit so I can learn the ropes and become a active contributor. Thanks again.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Alex Mandossian 11.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Alex Mandossian 11.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
