From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Have been on wikipedia since it quirky beginnings, but only in passing. I loved the project from day one.

I am interested in putting the reader first, with simple and accurate writing. I am firmly against all motivations to use wikpedia as a voting mechanism for search engines, which is why each external link should be thoroughly vetted for how useful it is for the reader. (and all wikipedia external links should use rel nofollow...)

Currently I am looking at simplifying technology articles in which I have expertise, as a developer of xml-like technologies for more than 10 years .

I want to clarify the distinctions between terms and technologies, technical slang / jargon and real fact and function.

[edit] Puzzling

Why do I get a few 'someone requested a new temporary password' email from wiki so often? Are there hordes of confused people out there?
