[edit] Too much like a how-to guide

This article needs some cleanup. It reads too much like a how-to guide rather than an encyclopedia entry.--Kharker (talk) 14:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

This has been cleaned up now, to be more like encyclopedic. It is no longer in the Start class.

It is not yet Class B either. It lacks in-line citations and supporting material. Also it is not well balanced as ALE has wide application outside amateur radio.
