It is erroneous that Automatic Pilot (or AP) is identified as the "first unofficial subgroup of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus" (or SFGMC). The official subgroups of the SFGMC are all choral ensembles, but AP is described as a band. In order to be named a "subgroup" of the SFGMC - officially or unofficially - a group should at least identify primarily as a choral ensemble; this element is essential to SFGMC's mission statement.

SFGMC's first "official" subgroup - The Lollipop Guild - was formed in 1979, a year earlier than AP. MusicMen 16:11, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

The article has been changed to note that Automatic Pilot was described by by The Advocate as "a non-official offshoot" of SFGMC and the factual dispute tag removed. The Lollipop Guild, then a barbershop quartet, was actually SFGMC's third "official" subgroup; the Chamber Singers and Men About Town were formed slightly earlier in 1979.
