[edit] History
[edit] Flynova (2001-2003)
Flynova was formed in the spring of 2001 by St. Louis artists Bryan Roach, Brett Voelker, and brothers Thom and Steve Donovan. In only four months, the band had finished recording their first six-song EP titled Nevertheless. The band begin to receive airplay through local radio shows on WVRV and KPNT in St. Louis, and they begin playing to open for well-known regional artists such as Greenwheel. Flynova returned to the studio, and by 2003 had completed several additional tracks including "Bullet in an Angel".
[edit] The Adored (2003-2004)
During the summer of 2003, Flynova announced a change of name to The Adored. The band continued recording work with producer Skidd Mills.
[edit] Autovein (2004-present)
The Adored inked a major-label deal with Columbia Records, which brought about another name change. In January 2005, the band, now known as Autovein, recorded their debut full-length album with producer Garth Richardson, and it was later mixed by Adam Kasper. Autovein spent November 2005 on tour with The Juliana Theory. KPNT began spinning "Bullet in an Angel", and the band landed a slot playing the Pointfest music festival in St. Louis. Later in 2006, Autovein found themselves without their record deal and fighting for the right to release the album. Throughout this period, they continued to tour in support of the new material. In November 2006, Autovein joined Fall Out Boy and Coheed and Cambria for KPNT's annual Christmas show.
The album, Bullets and Bruises, is currently slated for a spring 2007 release through Outlook Records, and the first single has been announced as "Save Me". In addition, "Bullet in an Angel" will also be available on the Midwest Music Explosion Vol. 2 compilation CD.
They are now out on tour with Smile Empty Soul and The Exies to promote the new album "Bullets and Bruises". They have also acquired some new members (new bassist, guitarist, and drummer)as of recently.
