The Autovía A-42 is a highway in Castile, Spain. It connects Madrid to Toledo. It is also known as the Carretera de Toledo.
It has been superseded by the Autopista AP-41 between Madrid and Toledo. It continues south east of Toledo as an upgrade of the CM-400 passing along the Sierra de Nambroca by-passing Mora. It then crosses the Sierra de la Rabera and passes the head of the reservoir Embalse de Finisterra. At Consuegra it crosses the Autovía A-4 and heads east to Alcázar de San Juan and a junction with the N-420 at the eastern end of the Montes de Toledo.
Now in La Mancha the road ends at Tomelloso and the N-310.
