The Autopista A-9 is a highway in northwestern Spain. It is known as the Autopista del Atlántico and runs from the Portugal boarder at the Rio Miño. It heads north via Tui, Vigo and a junction with the Autovía A-52. After Vigo the road crosses the Ría de Vigo, onto the Peninsula de Morrazo and passing below Coto Redondo (525m). The road passes Pontevedra with a junction onto the N-541, as well as the N-550 which runs alongside the AP-9. 46km to the north is Santiago de Compostela, the Autopista AP-53 heads to the south east as well as the N-525, N-547 and N-634.
Betanzos is 52 km to the north with junctions to the Autovía A-6 and N-VI. A spur heads the 13 km north west to A Coruña. Another section heads north around the Ría de Betanzos via Pontedeume and the Rio Eume. The Autopista ends at Ferrol.
