Automotive Industries Magazine is the world's oldest trade publication covering the global automotive industry. In print for over 100 years. Automotive Industries is devoted to providing global coverage of all aspects the automobile marketplace, with an emphasis on the people, products and processes that shape the industry.
Founded in 1895, Automotive Industries was publishing before the mass production of vehicles started in France and the United States in 1900. The magazine has reported on the founding, growth and sometimes demise of the likes of Oldsmobile, General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Citroen, Toyota, Nissan, Alvis, Cord, BMW, Cadillac, Panhard and now the emergence of the Chinese auto makers.
The magazine has a readership of about 200,000* people around the world (* 3 - 4 readers per copy).
These include the Who's Who of purchasing & supply, manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics & finance. At present the global average qualified circulation is 50,000.
The Automotive Industries controlled circulation list is made up of key decision-makers within the international automotive manufacturing industry. These top executives, engineers and managers of plants are directly involved in the design and production of all types of motorized vehicles and their components.

In 2006, Automotive Industries was purchased by Briton John Larkin. As a reflection of the global nature of today’s auto industry, it has a team of correspondents around the world. It is edited in South Africa, and printed in the United States.
