"Auto Rock" is a song by Glaswegian Post-rock band Mogwai that appears as the first track on their album Mr. Beast.

The song is built around a piano riff played by Barry Burns, and march-like drums, which slowly builds in volume and intensity. It was, at one point, used as a set opener by Mogwai on their 2006 tour.

- It is featured on the soundtrack of Miami Vice and has been used recurringly in BBC motoring magazine show, Top Gear.
- It is featured on the trailer for the Warner Bros film "The Brave One", starring Jodie Foster.
- A remix of it was featured in the North American television commercials for Electronic Art's 2007 videogame Need for Speed: ProStreet.[1][2]
- The central piano riff of this song is a citation of Crockett's Theme that Jan Hammer wrote in 1984 for the original Miami Vice Series.
