A tag has been placed on Nicholas Bernstein, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company or website, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Nicholas Bernstein is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Nicholas Bernstein. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable.24.20.69.240 07:31, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- I added a tag to that one i think - misunderstanding. AussieWiki2006 07:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Yes you`re right, I noticed there was already a tag and went to notify the creater, but clicked the wrong user. I`ve added it the right one. Sorry about that, and thanks for helping to review new pages. Cheers, 24.20.69.240 07:42, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
I m not getting what you meant by cleanup? I think I submitted a clean article?
- My apologies, it is not really a cleanup as such, it just might need a little polish. Good article none the less, cleanup was my bad. AussieWiki2006 07:44, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
This is regarding a page that you marked for deletion. WET (WetWebTester was the wiki page) is an opensource web testing tool. This can be confirmed by seeing the WET home page at wetDOTqantomDOTorg. In your initial comment, you suggested that the page had too much commercial content. I had put a hangon tag and suggested that it was not but it appears no one looked at the hangon tag. At the first place, what was in the page that made the page get tagged as commercial?
Hello, I believe the page was deleted in the end for copyright reasons, not because of the tag. However, i put the tag their as it appeared to be promoting a service. I thought it sounded a little too much like an ad, thus prompting the tag. My apologies if you do not agree, maybe it was just a difference of opinion. AussieWiki2006 06:24, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Template substitution
When using certain template tags on talk pages, don't forget to substitute with text by adding subst: to the template tag. For example, use {{subst:test}} instead of {{test}}. This reduces server load and prevents accidental blanking of the template. For more information please see Help:A quick guide to templates.--1568 21:18, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Need help to review a page
Hello,
I am new user and have been trying to write some article on the wikipedia. I started off by writing about WET, an opensource web testing tool. It got deleted more than once as I had apparently not followed certain Wiki Ethos. After looking through some of the guidelines, I have rewritten the complete article and have tried to follow the guidelines. I would like your help to review this article. I have put it up as a user sandbox page at User:Raghublr/Sandbox. If you could review it once and mark your comments in the page, I will make changes appropriately and add it as an article called Wet Web Tester. I am using the same sandbox user page's talk page as the communication media.
