[edit] Rewrite

Now looking pretty good after a complete rewrite - I can't believe this article was a Low Stub until recently. Could do with a bit of 'hardening' of the references, and some photos of wine and vineyards, and perhaps another pair of eyes to copy edit it, but I reckon it's not far off GA now.

[edit] Thoughts on assessment

This is one that can't be WP:BOLDly assess so it would be nice to get some extra thoughts. I think the article is lacking in discuss the climate/geography/geology of Austria as well as having more substance in the wine region sections. Plus there is a concerning dearth of referencing in the wine region section. There is discussion on classification but not much goes into the viticulture/winemaking practice as well as general comments on the Austria wine industry.
