"pronounced aye-dats"

Is that the same or different than eye-dots? Rhymes with "may hats"? Are the two letter a's pronounced the same or differently? I hate this kind of pronunciation guide, because it has no meaning (I have no idea how an Australian pronounces dats—it's not even a word).

For now, I'm removing it. Michael Z. 2006-11-23 21:17 Z
