Near Warloy, Somme: Infantry from the Australian 6th Brigade (Australian 2nd Division) marching to their rest billets after fighting at Battle of Pozières during the Battle of the Somme, August 1916.

They are being watched by soldiers of the 2nd Brigade (Australian 1st Division). The 6th Brigade suffered 1,898 casualties (62 officers, 1,836 other ranks) in the fighting at Pozières between 25 July and 7 August 1916.
