Austrovenus is a genus of marine bivalve molluscs, in the family Veneridae.

[edit] Description
The shells are similar to Chione cancellata but more orbicular and inflated, with the radial sculpture dominent over the concentric lamellae, and the escutcheon scarcely apparent.
