Austrian State Prize for European Literature

The Austrian State Prize for European Literature (Österreichischem Staatpreis für Europäische literatur), also known as the European Literary Award (Europäischer Literaturpreis), is a literary prize in Austria awarded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Art to European writers. Established in Vienna in 1965, the prize is endowed with a purse of 25,000 € (2007).[1]
