The 2008/09 T-Mobile Bundesliga will be the 34rd T-Mobile League and the 118th League in Austria.
The Austrian champions qualify for UEFA Champions League 2009-10 qualification. The runners-up and no. 3 qualify for UEFA Cup 2009-10 qualification. The 10th placed team is relegated to the Red Zac First League. The First League champion is promoted to the Bundesliga.

The provisional schedule has been released on June 6, 2008. The season will start on Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 and end on Saturday, May 30th, 2009. The exact dates and kick-off times are yet to be determined by the league.
