Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute

The Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) is located at the University of Melbourne campus in Australia and was established to support and promote the mathematical sciences. The institute was founded in 2002 and has a membership that includes most Australian universities as well as CSIRO.

AMSI is active in three main areas, scientific research, industrial applications of mathematics and education. It is involved in running workshops, conferences and summer schools as well as facilitating projects with industry.
