Australian Friesian Sahiwal

The Australian Friesian Sahiwal is a breed of dairy cattle currently being developed in Australia. It is a combination of the Sahiwal and Holstein breeds, designed for the tropical regions of Australia. Cows produce approximately 3000kgs of milk per lactation[1].

In Brazil, a combination of Holstein and Gir cattle is called "Girolanda". For many decades, Girolanda has been widely used in Brazil, as a source of milk, with success. [2]
