Australian Dance Council

The Australian Dance Council (Ausdance) is a national dance advocacy organisation for dancers, choreographers, directors and educators. It has offices in states and territory.

It provides a broad range of services and is involved with:

  • Australian Dance Week
  • the Australian Dance Awards
  • choreographic and "Safe Dance" research
  • the Australian Youth Dance Festival
  • the Australian Dance Collection at the National Library of Australia
  • SCOPE-Securing Career Opportunities and Professional Employment - a collaboration between the Australian Sports Commission, The Australia Council for the Arts and Ausdance.Read more about SCOPE: www.ais.org.au/ace/dance.asp
