[edit] Speedway World Cup
The Australian national speedway team has won the Speedway World Cup on 4 occasions and were a major force at the turn of the 21st century, winning 3 tournaments out of 4, between 1999 and 2002. Key riding members of the title wins since 1999 include Jason Crump, Leigh Adams, Ryan Sullivan and Todd Wiltshire who have taken part in all 3 wins. The team has perhaps not lived up to its reputation in recent seasons but have shown an indication to introduce youth with the inclusion of Chris Holder and Rory Schlein in their 2007 squad.
