Austin Robert Butler (born on August 17, 1991, in Anaheim, California) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Jake Krandle on the Nickelodeon show, iCarly, and James Garret from Zoey 101.

His first appearance was on the Nickelodeon show Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide as a background character named Zippy Brewster. He appeared in numerous episodes of Ned's. He then appeared on the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana in the episode "Oops, I Meddled Again!" as Toby, a boy being broken up with and he also had a small role in another Hannah Montana episode "My Best Friend's Boyfriend" as Lilly's boyfriend's cousin Derek. His first speaking role was on the Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101 as James Garrett, a new student at PCA whom Zoey falls for. Also, previously before he became James Garrett, he is seen in the episode "Quarantine" where he appears to be Stacey Dillsen's date by the name of Dannifer, and is mistaken for Zoey's date by her brother Dustin. His largest role was in the Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101 his second biggest role was on iCarly a Nickelodeon Show as Jake Krandle, a popular boy that Carly has a crush on. His iCarly episodes include "iLike Jake".

His biggest role is to be Michael and Logan's roommate, James Garret, on Zoey 101. He took Sean Flynn's place as a main character starting with Season 4, episode 4, "Rumor of Love". Butler is also in the up-coming movie They Came from Upstairs co-starring alongside Ashley Tisdale and Robert Hoffman. Shooting has now started in New Zealand and will be filmed over a 3 month period.

Butler's parents are David and Lori Butler. He has one sister, Ashley, who also did some background acting on Ned's Declassified.
