Aussie Crunch is a product of the Atlanta, Georgia based gourmet popcorn company Aussie Crunch. It is a ready-to-eat snack inspired by an Australian recipe.
The caramel-flavored popcorn has been described as having "a thick butter toffee coating over the entire surface" [1] and "a special texture you don't get with other brands" [2].
The popcorn is available in the following all natural flavors: caramel, fudge caramel, sweet cinnamon, mint, white cheddar, spicy white cheddar and buttered. And in the following fun flavors, spicy red cinnamon and green mint.
[edit] History
Founder Andy Moore has always enjoyed cooking and designing recipes. Having grown up in the Midwest, the heart of popcorn country, Andy learned the difference between good and great popcorn. He worked his way through college holding jobs in the restaurant industry. Determined to make what he judged to be the best gourmet popcorn on the market, Andy researched, tested and finessed recipes and produced hundreds of batches, initially in his own kitchen [3]. In 2004, after success as a corporate manager with a background in U.S. and international business, and inspired by a recipe from Down Under, Andy launched Aussie Crunch, a breakout brand of "De-bloomin-licious" popcorn. Now Aussie Crunch caters to business and consumer needs with custom packaging, volume pricing, and drop shipping in the United States and Canada. Moore markets his product at specialty retailers, gift basket companies and through online and phone sales.
