Aurora Hospital

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Aurora Hospital is the name given to a hospital currently under construction in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The hospital will have 70 beds and plans call for initial employment of under 150 with future employment of around 500. The hospital will be built on the grounds of the Aurora Medical Park. This medical campus already includes existing medical facilities such as the The Stadter Center 70-bed psychiatric hospital and a building which houses many independently owned medical clinics. Plans call for completion in 2009.

Aurora Hospital will be a for-profit business, unlike the only existing general hospital in Grand Forks, the non-profit Altru Health System. For quite some time, Altru has been the only major healthcare provider in Grand Forks and Aurora Hospital is seen as a new competitor for Altru.
