Aurora Bernárdez was a writer and translator married to Julio Cortázar from 1953 until 1967. She collaborated with Julio during the pre-production process for some of his future translations while preserving a good relationship with the author until his demise. Aurora translated works by Camus, Satre, Beauvoir, Bowles and Flaubert, among others.
