As of 2001 India census,[2] Auraiya had a population of 64,598. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Auraiya has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

He was the one of the famous persionality of Araiya. He has awarded by Persident Award for his duty for education in 1960. He worked for poor people by their priscription.
