Aura (IPA: [ˈɑurɑ]) is a municipality of Finland. The name derives from the river Aura and the plough (aura in Finnish) reminiscent shape of the municipality. The municipality was established in 1917 from parts of Lieto and Pöytyä.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Varsinais-Suomi region. The municipality has a population of 3,699 (2005-12-31) and covers an area of 95.44 km² of which 0.35 km² is water. The population density is 38.03 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
