Aurélien Rougerie (born 26 September 1980, Beaumont, Puy-de-Dôme) plays on the wing for France and captains ASM Clermont Auvergne in the French Top 14.
Rougerie made his debut against South Africa in 2001, and has now been capped 44 times.
Rougerie is married to Amandine Rougerie, with two twins (son Mathis and daughter Louane) born on February, 10 2007. He is known to have a passion for fast cars.
His father, Jacques Rougerie, was also a French international, playing at prop while his mother was an international at basketball.
Rougerie sued Phil Greening of England for a hand off during a European game in 2002 that left him with a throat injury forcing him to undergo 3 larynx surgeries. Greening has been ordered to pay £29,000 in compensation.
