Aunt Jackie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aunt Jackie refers to both a dance move and hip-hop tune thought to have originated in Harlem, New York City, in early 2007.
The song and dance were introduced to the world by Harlem rappers Jason Fox and the Hood Presidents via a YouTube video wherein Foxx and his friends perform the song and dance on the street. The song and dance were immediate hits, spawning numerous imitations, remixes and tributes. By summer, 2007 the "Aunt Jackie" dance had become a staple at hip-hop dance clubs throughout the country.
Aunt Jackie also has an official video which can be seen on BET and MTV Music channels respectively.
It is also heard in the background of a Dunkin' Donuts TV advertisement which features Jermaine Dupri.
Aunt Jackie was named the #77 video of the year on BET Notarized Top 100 videos of 2007.
Aunt Jackie was produced by Black the Beast, a 21 year old producer from Harlem, NY
