[edit] Rana dynasty
Hi, I see you are creating articles for each of the Rana rulers. Perhaps it would be better to integrate these biographies into the main Rana dynasty article? When there's enough material for a separate article (like Jang Bahadur) these could be split off. Jihg 17:23, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Lij Iyasu of Ethiopia
Hi, I'm a little puzzled about your claim that Lij Iyasu was awarded the Knights Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. His reign was short, & to the best of my knowledge he neither made himself available to receive this honor (he spent most of his reign away from his capital, where the british embassy was, engaging in dubious activities) nor had he "performed personal service for the Sovereign" -- I assume this means the monarch of the UK. In fact, some of his official acts were potentially harmful to the British. I'd like to see a source for this claim. -- llywrch 23:25, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- Your edit to the article on Lij Iyasu is too terse to explain its purpose. And the URL is not correct. -- llywrch 04:45, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Malerao Holkar II
A tag has been placed on Malerao Holkar II requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. -- John (Daytona2 · Talk · Contribs) 11:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Order of the Chrysanthemum
In my view, your recent edits would have been more meaningful if they had been accompanied by at least one in-line reference citation, which then becomes something of an invitation for further development. This would have been particularly interesting for me -- and plausibly for others as well -- if it just happened to turn out that the thread of research which led you to these specific edits were a little different than my own. Do you see my point? As long as you're opening a door, I'm just suggesting that you consider making that opening a bit broader, wider, etc.? --Tenmei (talk) 19:07, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Umaid Singh, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Triwbe (talk) 13:59, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
