Aulay Macaulay of Ardincaple

Sir Aulay Macaulay, Laird of Ardincaple (died about 1617) was a Scottish laird, a Scottish clan chief and a shire Commissioner. Aulay Macaulay was son and heir of Walter Macaulay who was Laird of Ardincaple and chief of Clan MacAulay. In the 17th century he was knighted. In 1608 he served as Commissioner for Dumbartonshire (a Shire Commissioner was the equivalent of the English office of Member of Parliament).
