To-do list for August Strindberg:

Here are some tasks you can do:
  • Requests: The dates of his marriages are inaccurate, impossible even. A template might not be a bad idea of all his works.
    Need references for all sections
  • Verify: Are all Strindberg's works available online for free, in the public domain?

Only a few of his works are available online, some in English as well as Swedish.

And a heavy drinker of Absinthe. Oh, absinthe. - Sigg3.net 09:45, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

"Psycho-analysts, having analyzed him after his death, speculate that a fear of his latent homosexuality is a possible source." I'd really like to see some statistics on the number of people psycho-analysists have claimed to be latent homosexual. - Sigg3.net 09:44, 6 May 2004 (UTC)
I wrote a more detailed "complaint" about this at metawikimedia.org's The problem with psychoanalysing meaningful material - Sigg3.net 17:54, 2 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Am I wrong in recalling that he was also a rather extreme sufferer of Raynaud's Disease? Something which might have contributed to his difficult nature. - Jongo 16:53, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Kronbruden

No mention here. Ture Rangström wrote a melodramatic opera on this work (along with a ballet for Miss Julie), both of which which have been beautifully filmed for TV.

[edit] English title?

Hello, I'd like to know the english title of one of Strindberg's novels. In Romanian (my native language) it's something like "The Blessed Island", or "The island of the blessed". It's about some swedes that leave their country by a boat that sinks and leaves them on a tropical paradise There, they form a sort of utopian society. After the tropical paradise sinks (it is a volcano), they are forced to go to some cold region, where the hardship makes them re-invent social hierarchy, religion, etc (all the institutions of our society). Strangely enough, I can't find it on the web. Thanks, Dpotop 17:55, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Studio 60

There was a reference to Strindberg on Studio 60 on the sunset strip...I added a little comment under the Trivia section. MonkBirdDuke 02:26, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The Removal of the See Also Section

I removed said the See Also section because it was incoherent and about what?
