Augusta Preparatory Day School (A.P.D.S) is an independent, non-sectarian private school just outside of Augusta in Martinez, Georgia. It offers an education from Preschool through Twelfth Grade.

Augusta Preparatory School began with thirty-eight students on September 5, 1961 in grades 7-12. Augusta Country Day School was founded in 1972 as part of the white flight movement and served kindergarten through fifth grade. Augusta Preparatory Day School was formed in 1988 from the merger of Augusta Country Day School and Augusta Preparatory School.[1]

A.P.D.S is divided into three schools: Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School.

The Lower School educates students from Preschool through Fourth Grade. It is the most recent school. It is separated from the rest of the campus.

The Middle School educates students from Sixth Grade through Eight Grade.

[edit] Upper School

The Upper School educates students from Ninth Grade through Twelfth Grade.
