[edit] License tagging for Image:Ashlee 20.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ashlee 20.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:04, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Excuse yourself
They ARE NOT notable enough to have their own wiki pages. Read the RULES. ONLY THE NZ idol winners and NZ idols who have released their own music who have reached top 40 charts ie: Ashley Cooper can be permissable. DarkCastle 03:26, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Their are no rules on "Idol pages", but the fact that they have been on a show and disapeared into reality doesn't constitute a page. Idol winners and Ashley Cooper are fine, because they have music which have been released to NZ charts, so they have NOT disapeared. DarkCastle 03:33, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- Not really True. I think you're talking about Aroha? The fact that she has been on a show, not releasing any music and practically appearing in "local news media" still doesn't constitute a page. Wikipedia is an international website, so you have to appeal to a wider audience. Sela is... well gone DarkCastle 03:45, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Is the pacifica concert INTERNATIONAL? is studio2 INTERNATIONAL? more importantly do the readers know about these "shows" no. Sela Mahe, like Aroha Robinson is not notable enough, but only people who have watched NZ Idol. The fact that their pages perdominately revolve around NZ Idol, shows that it doesn't make for an interesting page. Thats what the external links are for. Linking to external sites, that information is. DarkCastle 04:05, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
- Nope. The show was shown only in New Zealand. DarkCastle 04:13, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

- The show was a spin off from a VERY VERY VERY (very) successful english show Pop Idol which has been sold over to more than 50 countries, and have broken rating hits! so the notability is there! DarkCastle 04:21, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images on your Userpage
Hello Audsley. I see you like Idol shows like me. Perhaps you'd like to join us in the Idol Series Wikiproject. However, some of the images on your userpage are only allowed in the article namespace. Per Wikipedia's Fair Use Policy (see 9.):
"Fair use images may be used only in the article namespace. sed outside article space, they are not covered under the fair use doctrine. They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages."
This means that you can keep Image:Indira moala performing, Image:Aroha photoshoot, and Image:Diana DeGarmo performing 2005 cropped. The other Idol photos will have to be removed. I would also suggest removing Image:Pic 011 as its copyright status is being disputed. I hope you'll understand. Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 17:18, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, although you'll have to remove the American Idol logo too. Tennis DyNamiTe (sign here) 22:01, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Aroha.JPG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Aroha.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
