Template:Audio-IPA-nohelp/doc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This template links to an audio file for quick listening. It is meant to be used inline with text, for pronunciations. It is meant to be used in situations where the template is used many times in a row and individual help links are not necessary.
Since the template does not include a help link, an explanation like {{Inline audio}} needs to be provided elsewhere in the article.
[edit] Usage
{{Audio-IPA-nohelp|name of sound file|IPA notation}}
Example:
Swedish: åka {{Audio-IPA-nohelp|sv-åka.ogg|['o?ka]}}, 'travel', 'go'
gives this:
- Swedish: åka ['o?ka] , 'travel', 'go'
If you include a lang parameter, it will specify which subcategory of Category:Articles including recorded pronunciations to place the article in, as in:
{{Audio-IPA-nohelp|name of sound file|IPA notation|lang=Language}}
