[edit] Birthyear
Ancestry.com shows both 1922 (Social security death index record) and 1926 (California death index 1940-1997 record). They both present her as Audrey Cotter Six or Audrey C. Six. Therefore, which one is correct? See the link [1]. Hotwine8 21:31, 1 August 2006
User:Hotwine8: 1922 is the correct year of birth. I remember from when the SSDI provided SS numbers, dates of birth, etc. FREE before they stopped doing so, for a variety of reasons, I suspect. The year on the gravestone at Find-A-Grave is, well let's just say "inaccurate" to be kind. Census figures are ussually more accurate anyway. Btw the link you provide is outdated -- as I say they no longer offer the info free or even display anything other than the year and county/city of death. You have to buy it and answer a lot of questions.

- I cannot join the birth year debate, but I know my basic math. According to the dates of birth and death as displayed, Ms. Meadows should have been 69, not 73. (1926 + 70 = 1996, but she died before her next birthday.) Either her birth year or her age at death is wrong; the info should be removed until the facts are found. [edit] Parents
Added her father's full name from her New York Times obituary: Audrey Meadows, "Honeymooners' Co-Star, Dies at 71 Her mother's birth surname is usually said to have been Miller, but it seems to have actually been Taylor, with Miller as a middle name. her mother's birth name from her parents' wedding announcement: Miss Ida M. Taylor to be Bride of Rev. F.J.M. Cotter on May 27. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ariadne55 (talk • contribs) 21:07, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
