Audriņi

Audriņi is a village placed in the Rēzekne District of the Latgale area of eastern Latvia, 245 km east of Riga. Approximate population: 1300.

During World War II the village of Audriņi was burned down as well as all of its population (235 people), and 10 male inhabitants were shot in the market place in Rēzekne.[citation needed] In 2003 a NATO radar station was built nearby Audriņi.[citation needed]
