Audrey ("Mickey") Patterson (born September 27, 1926 – died August 23, 1996 in National City, California), later Audrey P. Tyler, was an American athlete who competed mainly on the sprints.
She competed for the United States in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London in the 200 meters where she won the bronze medal behind Fanny Blankers-Koen and Audrey Williamson. She was the United States' first black woman to win an Olympic medal (a few days later Alice Coachman would win a gold medal at the high jump). Patterson was named the Woman Athlete of the Year by the Amateur Athletic Union in 1949. She married Ronald Tyler and settled in San Diego, where she coached over 5000 young athletes over the years and founded a track club, Mickey's Missiles, that trained two Olympic sprinters.
