Audentity is the fifteenth album by Klaus Schulze.
As with Schulze's previous recording Trancefer, Audentity is also heavily reliant on sequencers, but is less harsh in style. This is particularly evident in the tracks "Cellistica" and "Spielglocken". However, the heavy reliance on sequenced sound is not the case for all the tracks, indeed "Sebastian in Traum" hints towards the 'Operatic' style of some of Schulze's much later works (see Totentag). "Sebastian in Traum" also contain a brief musical sequence that can be heard in the Michael Mann 1986 film Manhunter, an adaptation of Thomas Harris novel Red Dragon, later refilmed by Bret Ratner as Red Dragon.
It is also interesting to note that the 2005 re-release of Audentity is the only example of a Klaus Schulze re-issue not only includes previously unreleased material but also changes the order of the original tracks. This is presumedly to allow sufficient space on the two disc's for the 'new' material, however the chance of playing order does alter the overall feel of the album.
