OK, that is the formal welcome. I see that you have been editing Scout and Guide articles and that you come from New Zealand. Have you seen and joined Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting. Have a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting/Todo. I added stuff there about NZ long ago. Perhaps you can help out. Keep in touch. --Bduke 12:53, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
You are doing a great editing job, but please do not sign articles. You only sign talk page discussions. --Bduke 09:10, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi again. You may be puzzled about what is going on with Scouting in New Zealand. about 9 months ago there was a problem about naming Scouting or Guiding organisations, particularly whether we should translate names into English. As part of the mediation that I was involved in, we agree to have a brief, a;most disambiguation page for every country. In the case of New Zealand that should just mention the two organisations, but could mention traditional Scouting groups such as B-P Scouts if they were to exist. I'll post the details of that discussion later, but have to run now. --Bduke 09:21, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- The discussion was at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/Translations mediation and the summary of conclusions is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting/Article names. The early stuff was at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/Translations and that still needs work to update it. --Bduke 12:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hello
Hi Auccl799! Great to have a New Zealand Guide on board. Your contributions are both much needed and appreciated. I've experience of both Girlguiding UK and GSUSA, and, I suspect, I'm the only one on WikiProject Scouting who calls herself a Guide, until now. Check in on the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Task Force from time to time as girl specific messages and requests appear there that you might be able to help us with, or you can ask for help or make suggestions. You can even join us - we're a sub-group of WikiProject Scouting. Best wishes, Kingbird 05:03, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mona Burgin
Hello again! I've recently started an article on Mona Burgin. Any input would be appreciated, especially extra information from any books you might have on Guiding in New Zealand. Kingbird 23:35, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
