Talk:Auckland University Students' Association

[edit] Redirect

The contents of this page were already duplicated in the University of Auckland article. Furthermore, in line with precedents/consensus that individual universities' chapters of students' unions are not notable except in ver few cases, the redirect is placed to facilitate navigation only. Organic growth can take place in the University's page. Ohconfucius 04:36, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

I dispute the redirect of this article. AUSA is clearly a separate entity from University of Auckland. This article has been maintained by numerous editors. The correct course of action would have been to put a merge tag on both article and wait for a week or two for feedback. It appears you did not in fact merge the articles; you state above that this article was duplicated in the UoA article, but in fact this article has significant content not at UoA.- gadfium 05:19, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
I agree, any notion that AUSA and UoA are one and the same is absurd. They have different reasons for existing and often butt heads on important matters. Mattlore 06:58, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AUSA should be disambig

AUSA = Assistant US Attorney[1]

[edit] Portfolios

For whoever reversed changes, WRO and CAO have both changed around. Ask any UoA Student who takes any form of interest in AUSA 203.109.251.118 07:43, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Names: Daniel Sloan is known as the IV, this is incorrect on the AUSA website, as is Joe McCrory, I believe it was Joe himself who edited the name prior. Just because its listed on the AUSA website does not mean its correct. Sigh typical wikipedia nazi's. 60.234.150.239 (talk) 22:18, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

If the AUSA website is inaccurate, then get it changed, or cite a more reliable source. Does the New Zealand Herald publish information about portfolio positions? If there is no reliable source, then we should not be listing the portfolio holders here.-gadfium 23:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
