Auchinleck (IPA: /ˈæflɛk/ - “affleck”; Gaelic: Achadh nan Leac) is a large village with a population of ca. 3,900 situated 8 km south-east of Mauchline, and a few kilometres north-west of Cumnock in East Ayrshire, Scotland. Near the village (Auchinleck Estate) is Auchinleck House, past home of the lawyer, diarist and biographer James Boswell, 9th Laird of Auchinleck.

Auchinleck has much been associated with the mining industry (COAL) but the closure of High House (1983) and nearby Barony (1989) and the closure of CURRIES drinks factory almost wiped out Auchinleck's reason for existence. Visitors to the town coming in the 1990's described it as a throwback from twenty years before with youth culture and drugs taking over the place.

Auchinleck is slowly rebuilding itself with new investment and housing. Police and public community interaction on gangs and known trouble makers is bringing normality and a decent standard of life back into the village.

The famous Junior Football club, Auchinleck Talbot, play at Beechwood park in the village.

It is derived from Achadh nan Leac, Scottish Gaelic for "Field of the Standing Stones"
