[edit] Growing up nearby
My old stomping grounds; I grew up in the Auburndale section of Flushing, just a half-mile from the station! I'd love to see what it looks like now. Anybody else on here grew up near this station? It was always pretty spare & modest for an LIRR station, but it being so close to my house, it was so sweet to have! I've always loved the LIRR, it has been such an important transportation option for NYC and Long Island for well over a hundred years now! BobCubTAC (talk) 00:37, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
