AR offers fourteen Advanced Placement classes: Biology, Chemistry, Micro Economics, Computer Science, Calculus AB, European History, US History, US Government and Politics, World Studies, English Language/Composition, Literature, Spanish, French, Japanese, and German.

In addition to academics and athletics, ARHS has also gained notice for its drama program, under the direction of Karla Gjerde Seman. A participant in 5th Avenue Theatre's High School Musical Awards since the program's inception in 2003, ARHS has accumulated many awards and nominations.

A former member of the SPSL (South Puget Sound League) 4A North Division, in the fall of 2006 Auburn Riverside, along with the other Auburn High Schools, became part of the newly formed SPSL 3A. Currently it has been descided that as of Fall 2008, Auburn Riverside, along with Auburn High School will join the 4A classification. No details have been released on what league they will join.

Recent state tournament results include:

  • 1st Place- 2008 Girls Basketball, and 2007 Girls Basketball.
  • 2nd Place- 2006 Gymnastics, and 2002 Boys Tennis.
  • 3rd Place- 2004 Girls Fastpitch, 2003 Boys Tennis, and 2001 Boys Tennis.
  • 4th Place- 2004 Boys Cross Country, and 2002 Boys Soccer.
  • 5th Place- 2007 Wrestling, 2005 Boys Tennis, and 2005 Boys Cross Country.
  • 6th Place- 2004 Boys Tennis, and 2003 Boys Track and Field.
  • 7th Place- 2006 Boys Tennis, 2005 Boys Cross Country, and 2003 Boys Cross Country.
  • 8th Place- 2006 Girls Cross Country.

[edit] Fugate Trophy

Football trophy given kept annualy to/by the winner of the football rivalry between Auburn and Auburn Riverside dating to 1995. The trophy has yet to have been won by Auburn Riverside in the trophy's short 12 game list. It is unclear whether Auburn Mountainview will be included in the trophy stakes, and even more unclear is how a three-way trophy would work.
